I loved that they had the air con on for me when I checked in! Staff are friendly but the Internet in the room is extremely patchy
This hotel is nicely located at the south end of the beach in Cecina. We had an appartment, which was fitted well, although a bit basic. The beds and bathroom were nice, and the airco worked very well. A couch or a comfy chair would have been nice. The structure was very noisy though and we often heard people talking loud, kids crying, dogs barking or furniture being moved. The Wifi was very poor. Mostly we couldnt connect, did not get an IP assigned or did not have an internet connection. Also the mobile data connections were poor, possibly due to capacity issues with the large crowds in Cecina.
Unfortunately we had several issues, partially because we didnt realize the consequence of the location of the hotel.
- When we arrived we were told we could not park on the premise and had to find a spot somewhere near the hotel, which is almost impossible as it is very busy. I did email them upfront asking for a reserved parking (as stated on the website) but was told I had used the wrong email adress. I never get any "bounce" or information email stating that, but they told me it was not their problem though, it was just "IT".
This meant we had to drive several rounds each time we had to park. Cost was no big issue, only €11 for 3 days.
- We arrived in the week of Ferragosta. This meant the town was very busy with people and festivities. There is also a concert ground next door where loud live music was played until 1AM on 2 of the 3 nights we were staying there. When I asked the reception they could not give me any infromation which nights the venue was open, and when I suggested at checkout they may want to put a notice on their website advicing people of the festivities and the impact they told me everybody knows staying in Cecina means you are in a party town and they did not know what was happening at what day anyhow.
For me there is a difference between street or music noise in a busy (party) town and concert venue next playing live music next to the (poorly insulated) window. But the owner told me she never got complaints, only saw happy people that morning (expect for me clearly) and did not felt the need to inform with the venue about their program, so she could share that with guests. She made it clear it was just my problem.
I do appreciate it was my problem I did not realize how busy Cecina is, especially during this week. Also I understand the hotel does not organize these events, and obviosuly can't stop them (as they seemd to think I expected, which I didnt) But I was very dissapointed and annoyed by the lack of interest of several people in the front desk who immediatly told me they were not to blame and did not have any interest informing people who were not aware, about the impact of this all. (Lot's of noise, lack of sleep.)
But.... if you do like to be in a a busy beach town. Like to make late nights and visits the beach during daytime and don't mind lack of information. I guess this is a pretty good place to go.
It's one of the most amenable spots in Cecina Mare. Great for aperitifs or ice. Cool vibes, sails in the sun. Just spot on!
Nice hotel and apartments. Free parking big enough inside, and also big free parking near hotel. Good pool and beach
A great place to stay for a visit to the beach. A nice relaxing atmosphere with good food.
A nice hotel with a stunning view of the Mediterranean sea!
Cheap prices and friendly staff.
Good place. Clean rooms. Good service. Very good location.
Nice Service and breakfast, the rooms was OK and the restaurants nearby where great.
